Frequently asked questions

FAQ for the Streaming Scheduler

What is the SUISSE-VIDEO Streaming Scheduler?

A video management application built on your existing YouTube or Vimeo clips — resource-efficient, powerful, flexible and still easy to use.

Who benefits from the software?

Any business with internet-connected screens for presenting content — as well as websites with dynamic video content.

What exactly can I do with it?

Stream your video clips to any number of internet-connected monitors, set up an unlimited number of projects, monitor connections remotely, and send live, project-wide or scheduled messages to each project separately.

What do I need to get started?

A monitor with internet access, a browser (Firefox or Chrome), and a SUISSE-VIDEO account for building playlists and projects.

Is my browser supported?

Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome are supported. It's important that no content blockers are active — the default browser settings are enough to play the stream.

How do I create a playlist and a project?

All you need are links to your videos on YouTube or Vimeo. These first form your video clip list, which is the source for playlists and, eventually, your project.

How do I stream my project?

Open the unique project URL in a browser — or embed it as an iframe on your own website.

How do I know a project is actually streaming?

The Scheduler monitors every connected client address and shows the status per project: playing, error, buffering, ended or started.

Can I use this to stream a YouTube live channel?

Yes. Set the live stream's URL as the project source and restart it — clients automatically pick up the new content.

Is there a limit on projects or playlists?

The maximum number of projects depends on your plan. Playlists have no limit.

Can I send live messages to running projects?

Yes, three options are available: a scrolling message per playlist, scheduled messages per project, or a spontaneous live message to a specific project.

Can I customise my messages?

Position, size, font, colour, scroll direction and speed are all adjustable — along with start and stop times, and switching between two active messages.

I don't see any video, only the scrolling text or logo — what now?

Please check whether a content blocker is active in your browser. The default settings of the supported browsers play the stream without issues.
