Holiday apartments: inform guests without a staffed reception
A short notice can help guests settle in: where to find instructions, how to contact the host and what matters during their stay.
Answer the first question after arrival
Choose a few general details: a welcome, the guest guide’s location and a way to contact the host. Instructions needed before entering must already be available through the agreed arrival channel. A screen inside the apartment helps only after access.
Separate general and personal details
A card can point to the guest guide for access information. Do not place personal door codes, passwords or booking details in a generally accessible project. Being inside an apartment does not prove technical access protection.
Example: short notices for everyday use
| Situation | Screen message or test question | Check or next step |
|---|---|---|
| Arrival | Welcome. Your guest guide is on the dining table. | Check the guide and its location |
| Wi-Fi | Wi-Fi information is in your guest guide. | Provide credentials through the intended private channel |
| Questions | For questions, use the contact in your booking documents. | Keep availability and documents current |
Provide a screen-free alternative
Keep the guest guide and agreed contact route available independently of playback. Test from a new guest’s perspective: can they identify the documents and next step? Check language versions and the actual departure instructions too.
