Show clear, current visitor information at the lower cable car station
Plan the display around arriving visitors. This guide combines directions, operating times and relevant images with a clear process for checking the information.
1. Collect questions visitors ask before boarding
Follow the route from the station entrance to ticket sales and boarding. Which questions arise? Choose a few priorities: tickets, boarding, the next departure and the last return trip. Check the screen from the queue. The main information must be understandable without sound to someone who only glances at it.
2. Make operating times unambiguous
Include the date and route where needed. Show “Last trip up” and “Last trip down” separately. If there are several lifts, make clear which one the times apply to. Use only details confirmed by the operator. At a change of season, check that the displayed timetable is still valid.
3. Coordinate changes with the operations team
Decide who confirms interruptions, service resumptions or changes to available activities, and who updates the display. Remove promotional messages that conflict with an unavailable service. This example uses SUISSE-VIDEO for prepared content; it does not assume an automatic connection to operational control systems. The display does not replace official operating or safety notices.
Example: an information plan for a fictional lower station
| Situation | Useful content | What to check before display |
|---|---|---|
| Arrival | Ticket sales and directions to boarding | Are directions and station names correct? |
| During the day | Confirmed operating times and available activities | Do the details apply to this lift today? |
| Before closing | Show the last trip up and last trip down separately | Has the operations team confirmed both times? |
| After closing | Service has ended; confirmed next opening | Is there a special timetable or a change? |
4. Plan the day and check the content
Schedule directions in the morning, relevant information during the day and reminders about final departures before closing. Check the project schedule and the actual change on the playback device. Do not copy the schedule to days with different operating times without checking. After closing, show an accurate notice rather than encouraging visitors to take a trip immediately.
5. Check images, languages and freshness
Label a landscape video as recorded footage if it could be mistaken for a current view. For images described as current, check their source and capture time. Prepare short language versions for your visitors and compare the times and station names carefully. Assign someone to check content and arrange cover for their absence.
