Combine screens and printed notices effectively
Start by checking when and how visitors need the information. This guide helps you choose a screen, a printed notice or a combination.
1. Identify the information and its urgency
Must someone act immediately, or can the message appear later? Separate directions, current offers and supporting content. This comparison does not replace mandatory signs or operational safety requirements.
2. Check how often it changes
Record how frequently the content actually changes. Daily offers may benefit from a digital display. A stable notice does not need a screen simply because one is available. Printed information also needs replacing when details change.
3. Test the visitor’s actual view
Check whether the text, location or price is clear from the usual position. For changing displays, observe how long someone would wait for the message they need. Keep information permanently accessible when it is needed immediately.
Example: match the information to a medium
| Information | Possible solution | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Check-in location | Fixed notice, supported by a screen | Easy to find on arrival |
| Daily offer | Digital display | Frequent changes and time relevance |
| Event | Digital and printed where needed | Check expiry and both versions |
| Background video | Screen | Moving images supplement directions |
4. Plan maintenance and outages
Assign responsibility for the screen and printed versions. Keep them consistent to avoid conflicting prices or times. Necessary directions must remain available if playback fails. Prepare a suitable alternative.
5. Try a small combination
For example, start with a fixed check-in notice and digital offers. Test planned playback in your SUISSE-VIDEO project on the device. Ask visitors where they found the information. Keep the combination only if it is clear and can be maintained in everyday use.
