What content helps visitors in reception and waiting areas?
Visitors arriving for an appointment first need to know where to check in and what happens next. A screen helps when it answers those questions before showing promotions.
Explain where to check in first
Tell visitors exactly where to report. “Please check in at reception” is more useful than “Welcome to your trusted partner”. If reception is sometimes unattended, show the contact route your team actually uses.
Make the next step clear
Explain whether visitors should sit down after checking in or follow a member of staff. List only documents that are genuinely needed for the relevant appointment. Do not promise a waiting time your team cannot reliably confirm.
Before and after: the fictional Dialog advice centre
| Topic | Too generic | Useful message |
|---|---|---|
| Arrival | Welcome to your trusted partner | Please check in at reception first |
| After checking in | We will take care of you | After checking in, please take a seat in the waiting area |
| Documents | Arrive well prepared | For booked consultations: bring the documents listed in your confirmation |
| Questions | Your appointment matters to us | For questions about the process, please ask reception |
Choose useful content for the wait
Brief explanations of the appointment process or relevant services may help. SUISSE-VIDEO can schedule prepared text content and videos. The screen does not replace personal assistance and is not used as a queue management or visitor calling system in this example.
