Plan menus and notices well in advance
A Christmas menu from 1 December, a conference notice on 12 November from 13:00 to 16:00, a winter menu only until February: in the schedule calendar you decide when each card appears on the screen – even months ahead.
One calendar instead of many separate schedules
Every text card can have any number of events, for example lunch and dinner every day plus a notice for a single occasion. The calendar shows all events of a project in month, week or list view.
Without an event, the video keeps playing
If no event is running, the player simply continues the playlist. When an event begins, the card is faded over the video; when it ends, the video continues. The playlist schedule is not affected.
Example: planning in a fictional restaurant
| Card | Repeat | Time |
|---|---|---|
| Lunch card | Daily | 11:00–14:00 |
| Dinner card | Daily | 18:00–21:00 |
| Christmas menu | Period 1–24 December | 11:00–21:00 |
| Winter menu | Only November to February | 11:00–14:00 |
| Conference notice | Single date 12 November | 13:00–16:00 |
When events overlap, the most specific one wins
The order from strong to weak: marked “Overrides all other events”, single-date event, period, event with months, weekly rhythm. On a tie, the shorter event wins, then the newer one. This is how the conference notice on 12 November takes precedence where it overlaps with the lunch card (13:00 to 14:00), without you changing the lunch card.
Check ahead instead of on the day
In the calendar you pick a date and time. A field shows which card would run then – or that the playlist runs. This lets you check events that start months from now.
