Compare project and connection history with the actual screen
A recorded player connection is technical information. It does not alone confirm that the monitor shows the correct image or that guests understand the text. The guide adds documented controls and checks on site to the example.
1. Separate history from the current image
The help describes project, playlist and connection histories. These lists show client events and times. A record may be historical; check its time and project before treating it as current state.
2. Choose the project and period
Filter history by project name and sort by start or stop where useful. Select the record count and refresh the list. Note the observed problem time for comparison.
3. Use logging deliberately
The help lists play, error, buffering, ended and start events in logging settings. Enable the events relevant to the investigation; it says not all are normally needed. An absent entry is not a conclusive error without knowing the settings.
Example workflow
| Step | Content or procedure | Check |
|---|---|---|
| History entry | Client event with timestamp | Check project and time relevance |
| Log | Error or buffering event, if recorded | Compare settings and exact time |
| On site | Is the correct card or video actually visible? | Check monitor, assignment and readability |
4. Combine history and visual checks
Connection history includes clients with IP addresses. An IP address alone is not a reliable screen label. Compare your device assignments and ask someone on site to check image, project and readability. A player can be connected while its monitor is off or incorrectly connected.
5. Record findings before deleting
Record period, project, relevant events and observations on site. The help includes a delete-history function; do not prematurely delete records needed for an investigation. This guide promises neither automatic alerts nor proof of a visible image from the history list.
