Set up a useful information screen for your club
Start with a few useful messages for members and new visitors. This guide explains how to present dates, contacts and a glimpse of club life clearly.
1. Choose the location and audience
At the entrance, new visitors need directions. In the clubhouse, members may be more interested in upcoming dates and activities. Give the screen one main purpose and choose a few messages that support it. Check that visitors can access the screen at the relevant times.
2. Make training details unambiguous
State the group, full date, start time and location. Add a meeting point if it differs from the training venue. Confirm dates with the organisers. School holidays, venue changes and cancelled sessions must not be overlooked by reusing an unchecked weekly schedule.
3. Explain how newcomers can get started
Show a simple contact route for a trial session and any booking requirements or prerequisites. Use a designated club contact rather than an unapproved personal phone number. If a QR code leads to registration, test the page. The screen informs visitors; it does not create a membership management or booking system.
Example: content at the fictional Miteinander sports club
| Content | What to show | What to check first |
|---|---|---|
| Today’s training | Group, date, time and venue | Confirmation from the training organiser |
| Trial session | How to register and the club contact | Current conditions and a working contact route |
| Upcoming event | Date, location and booking details | Validity and removal after the event |
| Club video | A short introduction to an activity | Approval for the intended use |
4. Select images and contributions carefully
Short videos can introduce an activity. Use only material approved for this display. For identifiable people, confirm that the intended publication has been agreed, especially when children appear. Keep personal membership lists and internal contact details off the general visitor screen. Essential information should make sense without sound.
5. Schedule content and remove outdated notices
Prepare content in SUISSE-VIDEO and check the available day and time settings. A recurring slot is not an expiry date for a one-off event. Arrange manual removal where needed. Assign someone to maintain the content and a person to cover their absence. Check the screen after changes and ask a new visitor to find the next activity and contact details.
