Adapt a printed flyer for an information screen, step by step

Step by step: Start with the original. Split the page into clear messages. Work through a practical example. Rebuild the card in the text editor. The guide shows how to select, split and rebuild content using a practical example.

SUISSE-VIDEO · 6 October 2026 · 4-minute read

1. Start with the original

Extract the offer, price, validity dates, location and contact details. Identify what viewers need to make a decision. Put longer explanations on the linked webpage or in the printed flyer. First check that all details are still current.

2. Split the page into clear messages

Turn a flyer with several offers into separate cards. Keep each card self-contained: an offer and its price belong together, as do essential conditions. Do not put conditions on a later card that viewers might miss.

3. Work through a practical example

A fictional brunch flyer includes food, music, directions and booking information. The first card reads: “Sunday brunch · 25 October 2026 · 10:00–14:00 · CHF 32 per person · Drinks not included”. A second card explains how to book. The date and price are illustrative only.

Fictional example. The date, offer and price are invented.

4. Rebuild the card in the text editor

Create a text card with the selected information. Use a clear heading and a few supporting lines. Only use a background image if the text remains easy to read. The local help describes text cards and their design options; this workflow does not require PDF import. A reduced image of the whole flyer usually retains the original clutter.

5. Check it on site, then schedule it

Test the actual screen from the normal viewing distance. Can someone unfamiliar with the offer identify the offer, price, date and next step? If not, simplify the card. Schedule confirmed information and stop displaying it after the event. Check the destination of any link or QR code as well.
