Plan an information screen for your farm shop
Farm-shop visitors want to know what is available and how to shop. A short screen notice can explain both, provided prices, availability and instructions are current. These steps help you prepare suitable content and check actual playback on site.
1. Answer questions where customers shop
Start with two questions: what can I buy here, and how does shopping work? A screen near the entrance provides an overview. At the sales point, visitors need brief instructions. Show only checked details; a seasonal image does not confirm current stock.
2. Break shopping into clear steps
Describe the actual process: choose goods, read the displayed price and pay using the method offered on site. Do not copy a generic payment guide if your shop works differently. Include a contact for questions. The screen explains the process; it is not a checkout in this example.
3. Choose seasonal offers carefully
Show a few available products with price and unit, such as per kilogram or per pack. Match images and descriptions to the actual offer. The example combines an offer and service information. Do not describe sold-out goods as available.
Example: short notices for everyday use
| Situation | Screen message or test question | Check or next step |
|---|---|---|
| Offer | Apples · CHF 3.80/kg · Check the price on the product. | Confirm current price and unit |
| Self-service | Choose goods, read the price on the product and pay according to the checkout instructions. | Match the actual shopping process |
| Questions | For shopping questions, use the contact shown on the notice. | Provide a current contact on site |
4. Assign maintenance and display times
Name someone to confirm prices and offers before display. Prepare text cards and schedule appropriate windows or one-off entries. Check the calendar preview. This example assumes no stock or checkout integration; you must account for short-notice stock changes yourself.
5. Test with a first-time visitor
Ask someone unfamiliar with the shop to explain the shopping process from the notices. Check text, lighting and visibility on site. Essential permanent information may also need a fixed sign. At the end of the day, check whether offers and availability are still correct.
