A screen for staff: what should it show?
A screen in a staff area can highlight meetings, operational updates and shared dates. It needs different content from a guest-facing screen.
Choose a purpose for the team
Start with shared information: the next team meeting, a room change or an operational update. Give a clear next step and contact. Guest offers belong on a different screen.
Show only suitable information
A staff room does not automatically protect access to a project URL. This example uses only non-sensitive general notices. Personal rotas, reasons for absence and confidential details belong in the appropriate systems.
Example: general notices in a staff area
| Occasion | Short screen message | Additional channel |
|---|---|---|
| Team meeting | Team meeting on 13 October 2026, 14:30, Seeblick room. Questions: team leader. | Agree attendance directly with the team |
| Room change | Meeting on 14 October 2026: Seeblick room instead of Garten room. Contact: reception. | Inform affected attendees directly |
| Operational update | New packaging samples in the staff room. Feedback to the team leader by 16 October 2026. | Collect feedback in the agreed place |
Confirm important handovers directly
Someone who is not near the screen may not have seen the message. Required tasks and urgent information still need the agreed direct communication channel. A displayed message is not a read receipt.
