What should your daily specials screen include?

Guests need to know what they are ordering and what the price covers. A few clear details are more useful than a long description.

SUISSE-VIDEO · 5 October 2026 · 2-minute read

Keep the dish and its price together

Show each dish and its price on the same line or within a clearly defined block. “Pasta 19.50” does not tell guests which pasta is served or what comes with it.

Explain what the price includes

State whether sides, salad or drinks are included. If drinks cost extra, say “Drinks charged separately”. Guests should not have to ask what the menu price covers.

Use a few specific words

“Penne with tomato sauce and basil” is more informative than “delicious house-style pasta”. Only label a dish vegetarian if all its ingredients support that description.

Help guests choose

Show the current daily specials on screen. Further details can be available on the full menu or from staff. SUISSE-VIDEO helps schedule the display; your team supplies and checks the information.
